Showers are prone to soap scum build up, grout deterioration. Mould and mildew can also occur, which can be harmful if left untreated. Our service consists of refreshing the grout using our process, which carefully cleans the surface of the grout to remove the dirty top layer. During this time, we thoroughly check each grout line, fixing any cracks that may cause water damage in the walls.
Next, we seal the grout with our coloured, protective sealer. In addition, all the existing silicone sealant is removed throughout the cubicle and replaced with new high-quality antibacterial silicone sealant. In addition, we can also polish & seal your shower glass, along with replacing discoloured, failing plastic screen shower seals. A revamped shower makes all the difference to how your room looks.
Shower glass, whilst technically not porous, is not as flat and smooth as it feels. Under a microscope there will be ‘peaks and valleys’ in the surface on a nano level, so that when showering you will see the water clinging to the glass in places, which is where there are ‘valleys.’ Over time this is likely to lead to a build-up of soap-scum as well as limescale & hard water staining which can be exceptionally hard to remove.
By using a specially formulated compound that has been optimised for precisely this issue, we can restore your shower glass to almost new condition.
‘When I moved house I couldn’t afford a new bathroom, but the shower unit was from the 1990s and badly needed new sealant and the doors were misted with hard water deposits. Tim did an excellent job and also made the old glass doors shine like new. I am so pleased with the results. A big thumbs up also for how professional and friendly Tim is too.'
‘Excellent results. Ensuite looks new. Time is helpful and knowledgeable and tidied up after. Highly recommend.‘
